Does anyone know if this calorifier is suitable for a Bavaria 30?

My current one, after 7 years seems to have gone t1ts up.

Only thing that concens me, is that currently I have these "quick release" sort of connectors that go onto the blue water pipes and don't look compatible with the one I have posted a link to, well not without modification!

Here is a picture of my current one...

Thanks,

That's terribly small - 10l. I should think the one on my friend's Bav 30 is 30 litres or more.
The original although not badged as such is I believe a Quick see http://www.marinesuperstore.com/item/HEATERS/quick-nautic-calorifiers
Penguin Engineering have similar ones.
The original Whale red and blue pipes will fit standard 15mm plastic plumbing connectors. I found that out when his red hot pipe burst. I don't trust that stuff, the proper domestic pipe such as Hep2O or Speedfit is much better. I joined a section in.

Thanks for prompt reply, my current one seems the same dimensions as that 10L one!

Where abouts is your friends Bav 30 calorifier located? Under rear cabin bunking I guess? Mine is...

I will look into getting some decent piping then, but firstly need to work exactly which calorifier I need!

Yes, think you will find it is at least 25l. 10l is not worth having. I think all the Bav ones are the same size and installed in a similar location in an aft cabin.

Ah yes, I see the higher capacity ones are wider... but shorter :)

Any other Bavaria owners got any thoughts?

Mine was supplied from new so was either a factory or dealer fit. It's a Quick. I think it's either 20 or 25 litres. I had a problem with a leak in one of the fittings, which turned out to be rated to 65 deg but the water seems to be about 95. Replaced it with Hep and no more problems to date.

The surecal ones are about 10cm higher than my old one, and will no way fit.

The 10L is the only one that fits, size wise... help!

my previous one was 20L, just filled it up and emptied it into a bucket!
