Hi,
Just been connecting up my new Lofrans branded windlass circuit breaker and found I had no joy. I've traced it to the LED inside the indicator, the breaker itself seems OK so far (tested without load). The supplied indicator comes apart and comprises a red LED (3mm dia) with a 680 ohm current limiting resistor in red plastic indicator tube around 6mm dia having an 8mm end "cap" and is around 18mm long, see pic below.
Maplin sell LEDs that seem suitable replacements here : http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/5mm-red-led-ck48c which looks to be the right diameter and does not need a resistor to run off 12V (max reverse voltage only 5V though
). I could use one of those but I would really rather just buy a replacement indicator if possible, anyone know where you can buy such a thing complete ?
If they are a standard part, please let me know what they are called 'cos I've drawn a blank so far in my search.
Thanks,
Boo2
