Hi

Any ideas where i might source some replacement slides for my boom main-sheet and kicker attachments.

The picture shows the main-sheet attachment - the screw which should hold it in place is entirely rusted away (but of course impossible to remove) so a previous owner has used a piece of rope tie to the back end of the boom to hold it in place.....not ideal though effective!

There is a spare one nearer the mast, so thinking to swap it I attempted to undo the kicker attachment and the spare one and found both of those the fixing screws are also immovable.....all probably due to stainless screws in alloy components causing galvanic corrosion??

Also as you can see, the "strip" type shackle has worn a groove into the slide so would prefer to replace if possible

Looks like the old type of alloy slider I had in my Seldén boom. If so, new ones are in stainless steel and are available as spares.

Thats fine if its a Selden boom presumably......ive checked for a makers sticker or mark and there doesnt seem to be one....there is a round sticker which has totally faded beyond reading at all.

None of the websites that list Selden sliders seem to give any measurements!

See my old slider in the photo below. Looks pretty similar to yours, I think.

You will find their available sliders, including measurements, in their online catalogue on pages 88 (mainsheet) and 95 (kicker).

It is a Kemp boom....I took a closer look at the very faded sticker on it and could just make out the word Kemp
