We have inherited old Stowe Navigator sped and depth instruments. Can anyone advise how to set up a repeater so I may install at the chart table a second depth or for that matter speed log. I am sure it cannot be as straight forward as simply having a second display and wiring together or is it?
I know this is not NMEA2000 and it is old kit but it still works and I cannot afford this year to upgrade this part of the inventory.
Thanks in advance.

I maty be able to help with a depth repeater - pm sent. The wiring is straightforward enough, but needs I think 6 core cable. Prepare for an eye-watering surprise from Stowe.

I think the Stowe Navigator speed log instruments can be paralleled up as they just monitor the voltage pulses from the spinning magnet and give a proportional readout.

It may be possible to parallel up the depth by connecting only the wires (on the repeater instrument) from the transducer that monitor the reflected signal and leave the transmitter wires unconnected.

The "proper" Stowe depth repeater that I've got uses 5 wires: power, light, 0V, white and blue. To use just 2 wires would need another depth transducer I think.

Think you've misunderstood the previous posts. Depth transducers usually only have 2 wires. Instrument repeaters obviously would have more.
