A friend borrowed my wife's pair for her YM Ocean practical, which was a bit wet, and when she came back the soles were hanging off the uppers.

I thought that Dubarry ran a repair service but it seems from their website that they no longer do.

Is there any other option?

My Dubarry's started leaking. They weren't very worn so I wrote to Dubarry and eventually sent them to Ireland. They explained that they were no longer repairable due to a change in the manufacturing system. They did supply me with a replacement pair at a substantial discount. It may be worth a try, if the boots are not too old.

Have just received a call from Debbie as mentioned above and my boots will be with me on thursday having been resoled. It seems the older boots had a seperate sole hence repairable. The more modern designs have an integral sole and can't.
I am very happy that my boots have been repaired and excellent service from Dubarry. The cost is £65.00.

Dubarry repaired my boots, (fairly old), a couple of years ago. The moulded material between the upper and the sole was disentegrating.
They did a fine job, but the disadvantage is that the Goretex becomes compromised and no longer keeps out moisture. They remain splashproof but wading results in wet feet.

My Musto boots are comfortable but the sole became slippy after a couple of seasons. Almost went overboard.

Thank you very much for that. They are quite an old pair...
