Can anyone reccommend a resource that shows the way to replace hull planks on a traditional clinker vessel? I've done Carvel on my own boat, but clinker looks a bit more complicated. Also what is the method used in sealing the overlaps?

Buy John Leather's 'Clinker built boat building' -all will be revealed. It's a paperback, bit old now. You could probably get a second hand copy off the web for a few quid.

Ttry to get hold of WOODEN BOATS RESTORATION AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL BY JOHN SCARLET. I think this will give you the information you require.

Another one is Boat Repairs and Conversions by Michael Verney also very good.

Dont you think one wooden boat is enough ;-) When you get to the bright work, try Dulux " weather shield yacht varnish" , i have had some amazing results, wood bleaches slower, uncovered during the winter is ok, i have not recoated for two years now, a few bits now require little attention.
Thought i would save you some valuable sailing time once you are floating :-)
