Can anyone assist by advising who can repair an autopilot ?
A private whizz kid or a Company !
It is a simple wheel type autopilot that holds the course when told the course.Nothing more complicated than that. It has a drive motor, with a toothed belt to the wheel. The motor has an on /off clutch.
The control head is cable connected to the motor. I believe it is the control head not sending a signal or the wrong signal.
It is a Plastimo AS-100. Plastimo no longer support this unit but maybe there are people who took on such work afterwards ?
Any help appreciated.
