I have a battered old dinghy I am going to repair to get back into use, nothing fancy just as a tender, the runners are worn right down exposing the core fiberglass, how would I build them back up ?

I've tried uploading a picture but nothing is working.

If looks do not matter then grind down the area and put a few layers of fibreglass over it..bare grp on a dingy rarely causes any problems.
You can use a shaped piece of wood to recreate runner profile then fibreglass over it.
Its possible you need to have a minimum amount of postings before uploading images.

Pictures need to be resized to low quality which is normally around 1mb.

For the runners could just stick some softwood in place.

If it's just smallish areas of repair - especially long lengths - use epoxy and woven glass tape layers. Epoxy is stronger and a better adhesive than GRP resin. I have done this to my own battered old dinghy!

Also add some brass semi circle runners on the keel and side runners - not cheap but well worth it as much easier dragging the dinghy over shingle and the wooden runners don't wear away.
