Repacking stern glands How often?

Two years and around 60 hours ago, my stern glands were re-packed with new PTFE "string" and grease
One of then is now leaking quite a bit, approx 20 litres in a 24 hour period

Should this be happening so soon?

I did mine 15 years / 1500 hrs ago, have you checked your leaking one for correct tightness

tighten the nuts either side, half a turn at a time and keep everything parallel until you get a drip every few seconds. If they haven't been adjusted since repacking it might take quite a few turns.
