Renovo Waterproofer - Spray or Roller/Brush

Done my cover with a Renovo renovator by brush as instructed taking nearly two bottles to cover with good results.

Now ready to Waterproof it, has anyone sprayed/roller the Renovo proofer onto their cover making it easier or brushed as instructions.

This is all being done away from boat on a level floor.

Hello.
Just finished the"renovation and waterproofing" of my sprayhood with satisfying results by brush. This time I used old newspaper and masking tape to mask off and protect the vinyl windows. I found on a previous attempt that the liquids were slow to be absorbed by the canvas and the windows badly suffered with runs and smears. I found it more tiresome and time consuming to clean up the windows than to mask them. I would advise that you consider this.

But cover is what I would call the Winter cover, taking the Summer version off with its windows and removable panels etc.

I applied waterproofing using rubber gloves and a sponge - slightly quicker then a brush, more even and seems to go a bit further.

I use Renovo on my convertible roof and after trying sponges and rollers finally settled on a paint brush as I can "stipple" the brush to make sure I get it well into the weave.

I also mask the windows with newspaper as mentioned above but if it's just a cover that's not an issue.

Have always used a paint brush but if the winter cover is that large maybe a soft broom might be quicker?

A soft brush is the way to go.
