Re:French Without Tears

Rene. I too was distressed to read the comments of Lavviebrush and I am not only in full agreement with Claymore, but also in awe of the eloquence with which he expressed his outrage. We have enjoyed your posts on our humble forum and hope that they may long continue. In answer to your question about morris dancing, I can offer the following observations. The morris dance involves bouncing around in a circle whacking your comrades with sticks, and comes from the old English tradition of thrashing ones bmc motor car when it won't start in the morning, as demonstrated by that great English hotellier Basil Faulty. Claysie's lot have a similar dance where they skip over swords, this is how they came to wear the kilts as the dear hearts got fed up of sewing new turn ups on their troosers.
Trust the wind blew freely on the Barque Surcouf. StugeronSteve.

Re: New York New York

2 senior moments in the one day.
1 - I somehow manage to post the same thing twice - TK points out the error of my ways in that succinct but humane manner he has - so I delete it.

2 Rene's post comes to the top of the pile so I have a look to see what is on and find my post deleted. Outrage - Kimmerised - an all because I defended our little friend from over the minge.
Then I realised I'd deleted it myself.
Nurse - the screens.

Mon Cher Rene, ignore the inane ramblings of LavvieB s'il vous plais. Nous sont tres recognis ce les France est un pays de Legion d'honeur et les fromages c'est trop de culture. Le Morris men are descendants of a village idiot (as is most of England) and they are celbrationg the day he stole the honey from the hive. J'Espere ce vous aidez!

Re:French Without Tears

Mes Amis - StugeronSteve et Jimi. I am enchanted to accept your kindnesses. This day I was thinking of my new friends on this forum and I have conversed with my lifelong ami - Alphonse Villefranche- of you. Alphonse is at a loss to understand you humour and so it will be difficult for me to be explainings to him of your Morris Dancing. I had never realised that Les Ecossais were the ones who began this - but of their skirts - this is your Joke no?
My Dear late Father fought bravely with the resistance during the dark days of 1939 - 1945. He made friends with a young Soldat Ecossais who was also named Jimi. I remember him saying from the Black Wash - is this a place near where you are live?
Today Surcouf - my beautiful barque of whom I have spoken before lifted her head to the breezes of the seas and danced on crystal waters - it was one of those days when we could have sailed forever - beyond the end of the lands far out from Finisterre and out into the deep yonder over the furthest horiszons. One day we will do this - she and I and the old men at the Quay will nod to each other when we do not return to drink wine with them - they will know then that Lt Rene Tremblere and his beautiful Barque Surcouf are embarked upon their final journey together.
Do not worry my friends for that day is not yet with us - but Surcouf and I - we grow old and perhaps it will be so. One day.
you have been very busy today with your postings en Angleterre - I am thinking that you too must be old and retired for you do not work to spend this time?
Angelique - my wife of many years will be expecting me to be at her side this evening for our peoples who have moved in to the next house are coming for supper. he is full of his importance - a proud and boastful man - this would not be so if he had seen with the eyes of Rene Tremblere, the look on the face of his wife as Alain - the builder who is doing his jobs was leaving this apres midi.
I go.

when i were a lad, many years ago, abersoch, powerboat club, chasing totty, back from adventures in the middle east and africa, loads of money, ski boat etc i think you can get the picture, me and my mate nick used to play a game to further the pulling of the totty.
moi je suis une diveur of the calypso, oveur ere on an secret expedition to recover gold from ze bateau which was sunk in ze bay,
quest tu pense ma petit cherie?
whats he say nick
oh he thinks you are very pretty,
vos yeaux sont tres belle
whats he say nick?
youve got beautiful eyes
and so it went on
until the crucial moment
and then they laughed so much they couldnt refuse
je pense nos ami rene tremblere is doing exactly that
and in fact i think we should call him knee trembler from now on :)

Re:French Without Tears

Mister Trembler, I am delighted that your late father fought the Boche in the last war. He was one of a select few frenchmen. However the actions of your countrymen indicate to me that whilst you may be geographically part of Europe you are not dans l'esprit. All your goods are marked "Made in France", you only buy crap French cars you burn meat that is not yours and eat your own raw. You sign all the laws and treaties without hesitation and then just ignore them .. is that the way an honourable country operates?
