Removing vinyl letters/names

I removed mine with a heat gun ( gently ) and a paint scraper.

Then white spirit to take off the last of the sticky residue

Then a compound polish over the area and re wax.

The people that sell vinyl lettering also sell vinyl letter removing fluid, wont damage gel coat or painted surfaces. Comes in a smallish bottle (or at least mine did) for two or three squids.

A hairdryer is usually fine. When I did mine a few months ago, there was foil around the letters which was a real pain. I bought some special gunk that helped, and would be good for you if you have a problem. I have loads left on the boat so you are welcome to use whatever you need.

Hair dryer usually does the trick (though be careful with the heat gun approach - they can be fierce, even if the intention is just just a gentle blast). However, my preferred option is always the specialist fluid or gel - a much safer option.

I'm surprised he didn't peel the old Boats name off and resuse it...LOL

Tony, WD40 is your friend if you want to remove sticky marks.
