I am considering replacing my tired looking treadmaster on the cockpit seats with tek-dek (teak effect decking) What is the best way to remove the old treadmaster

A Small footprint router.

Set the depth carefully to remove areas to within a gnats wotsit of the gelcoat beneath, then remove the rest with judicious use of chisels, scrapers and sanders.

Re: A Small footprint router.

Thanks for router plan I would have to leave strips to maintain the depth .Could I just leave the treadmaster on and glue the tekdek on top The treadmaster is very well attached or am I just being lazy.

have not purchased yet still thinking about it . I read on another post somewhere that it was better to buy from one of the appointed distributors than direct from tek dek, I think there is a list on the tek dek website
