The dye from the holdall that my recently purchased inflatable came in has run. This has gone over the inflatable (Bombard AX2) and more importantly over the helm seat. This is made of one of those 'leatherette' type materials and is now white with blue streaks. As you can imagine I am a bit peeved.

So far I have tried: Swarfega, JIF (CIF), methanol, nail polish remover, petrol and bleach based cleaner, all with no affect whatsoever.

Does anyone have any other ideas about chemicals that will not damage the original material. This probably counts out anything suggested by HLB /forums/images/icons/smile.gif.

Decasol Vynil and leather cleaner used neat. Its worked for me in the past on my seats. Failing that I've got some industrial cleaner we use for awnings and canopies. Its strong stuff though and removes the fabric if your not careful. Failing that leave the holdall on the other seats and have a marble effect interior.

Most car shops, about 4 quid for half a ltr. Its a sort of gel not a liquid so a bit goes a long'ish way. Made by Tetracyl products. Have a look at http://www.maccess.co.uk

Liquid Soda Crystals & Elbow Grease

Old fashioned but excellent for removing muck from UPVc windows/plastics, stainless steel, ceramic tiles; in fact worth a try on nearly any surface. Available in supermarkets, hardware stores. Doesn't harm the material you're cleaning.
