The title says it all, I have some black mildew marks on some of the cushion covers, these are mainly at the edges where the cushions come into close contact with the hull, so fortunately are not very visible. Has anyone found any wonder products that may remove/reduce these marks. The covers are machine washable, not sure what they are made of, some sort of man made fabric (French). Obviously I would not want to try bleach. Any suggestions?

A benzalkonium chloride based product will kill the mould without damaging the fabric and prevent regrowth but getting rid of the existing black marks is another matter. Eventually they will wash out. An "oxi action" laundry bleach ( eg Vanish) might help but definitely don't use a chlorine type bleach on man-made fabrics

I used this one
http://www.kleeneze.com/products/h/houseproud-anti-mould-amp;-mildew-spray/
but really only because the Keeneze man calls regularly and delivers it.

Polycell 3 in 1 Mould killer is benzalkonium chloride but when I cannot get the Kleeneze one I dilute Patio Magic !

Try on a hidden area first

Works brilliantly on shower curtains and bath/ shower tray mats. but not tried it on anything like cushion covers

VicS, can you please give an indication of the dilution of Patio Magic you would recommend.

Not sure of the concentration of benzalkonium chloride in the Kleeneze one

2.25% in Polycell 3 in 1.
7.5% in Patio magic so diluting PM around 4 to 5 times. and applying very lightly with a trigger spray bottle.

Thanks for that. We've a few traces of mildew, which I would love to get rid of.
