Removing black marks from GRP

Scuffs will come off with Magic Eraser. No chemicals no abrasion. Brilliant stuff. I get mine from Robert Dyas but some supermarkets do their own. It is a melamine sponge that you wet and rub off the marks.

+1.

Also: Fairy Power Spray (seems to shift almost anything) Muck Off & Starbrite Black Streak Remover.

Are you using it by hand or by polishing machine? I have just the beginnings of acrylic weathering on boat portlights, and a car with weathered plastic headlight covers.

Did everything by hand except the deck hatch. I used an electric polisher with a lambswool head. Don't let it dry out, as you get the finish you want spray with water to clear the polish. I'd do headlamps by hand, if they are bad, sand them lightly with wet, wet and dry first, down to 1000 grit.

When my son moved from his flat, being s keen fisherman had got black scuffs fom his boxes all over the uPVC front door, thought we would have to pay to replace it

Mr Muscle spray in general cleaner for household removed quite a lot of those with a wet fibre clothe, softened up the more stubborn one's.

Very good results
