The first of several posts today!

My Rival 32 has, at some stage in the past, been prepared for a long trip. The antifouling (a tasteful black!) extends about 6 inches above the boot topping. This is quite logical if the boat is about to go off for a long period as she would be "down on her marks". However, as I don't intend to "live the dream" for a few years, how do I remove the antifouling without damagin the gel-coat. Boat is light-blue, BTW.

I used dilunette, which worked pretty well. To get the best effect it needs to go on in warm conditions and it's better to leave it a few days before scraping off.

Antifoul will come off easily if you carefully scrape with a broad bladed chisel. The only thing you need to be careful about is to make sure that you don't nick the gelcoat.
I removed all of the anti foul on a previous boat this way.
