Any ideas on how to remove terrible paint job (Internanial Top Lac) from seemingly good fibreglass hull and topsides, either a D I Y job or a firm that could undertake the work. Anyone with a similar experience?

I have had surprisingly good results by using a steam wallpaper stripper to soften and remove toplac - mind you, the previous owner's efforts at preping the gelcoat were of the 'Slap it on, it'll do to sell the boat' variety!

Hi Omega2
We've managed to remove one part paint from gelcoat with Langlow "Safer Stripper" bought from a chandler. Same effect as ordinary paint stripper, but didn't harm the gelcoat at all. Finished off with wet and dry paper to tidy up, before covering with a wide vinyl decor strip running the length of the boat.
