Do you mean trekmark or treadmaster these are two different products that do the same.

The guys who clean the outside of my boat are making a very good attempt of removing my treadmaster with their high pressure washer.

Treadmaster is the new material i assume the existing is the same

If it was attached with the proper adhesive, be prepared for some hard work. chisel, angle grinder and sand off the residue. Heat does not work and don't know of any solvent. Dreadful stuff and difficult to lay on anything but a flat level surface.

Only consolation is that if you do the job properly it will probably outlast you and you can look up (or down) at the subsequent owner cursing you as he tries to remove it!

The existing stuff is utter rubbish. It has only lasted 35 years :disgust:.
The Lady @ Tilflex agreed, when i told her :D

Yes, I know it lasts, but you won't be so kind about it when you try to get it off - although you only have little bits so won't be too painful. I have unhappy memories of stripping a Centaur and then trying to get the new stuff to stay stuck to the curved coachroof.

fortunately on flat topped combings, these get a lot of wear as one stands on them on entering / leaving the cockpit
