Removable airdeck/keel large tube inflatable?

HI

Only only have a reasonable size locker opening. But want to have a large(ish) tender...

Can anyone recommended an inflatable tender than is;

- Solid transom, not slatted floor
- Small pack size (100cm x 40cm x 30cm) consistent real world packing
- large tubed (ideally 40cm+)
- 2.5M+ length (ideally2.8M)
- Removable airdeck/floor/keel (to reduced packed size)

I do not mind having lots of bits as long as the main part is small enough to go through the locker opening. This needs to be real world packing, and not manufacturers fiction ...

Purchased as 2.8M 3D VIB - which is great, but will not fit.

I don't think you'll find what you're looking for.
 
Have a look at the Seago 270 Airdeck, we have one, not sure about the packed size but worth a look.

There is no compromise unless you go for a super lightweight type such as a 3D, which is what I have. None of the PVC or hypalon models will achieve the dimensions you want with or without an airdeck or keel.

Even the smallest 3D tender won't match his size requirements.
 
Stow a decent one in its bag at the base of the mast when underway and if theft is a problem place it below when you leave the boat, get a decent extra cover made for it when in its bag.

They will meet the packed size comfortably. The 270 hard transom is 90*48*28 and has 40cm tubes plus an airdeck. The roundtail 250 (which I have) is even smaller packed at 70*45*32.
 
Yes, you are right - even more unrealistic.

However, note that almost all round tails have the same 45cm width and all Twin Airs 45 or 48cm which suggests the actual dimensions might be different from the notional ones in the catalogue. Unlikely to be as small as 40cm though.

I have a Twin Vib Air 280 - which is lovely, but I cannot get it packed down smaller enough to fit into the locker, even thought the advertised packed size should fit... This includes removing all the air with the pump in suck mode.

The actual size of the aperture is 100 deep (to bottom of locker) x 46 wide (side to side) x 36 long (front to back). This is on a Starlight 35.

The advertised size (cm) is 90 X 45 X 32. It is the "32" length (ie front to back) that won't fit.

Any advice on how to get these packed down would be fab.

Sorry;

The actual size of the aperture is 100 deep (to bottom of locker) x 46 wide (side to side) x 36 long (front to back). This is on a Starlight 35.

This it the stern opening size of the transom locker, that is huge as it spans the whole of the stern. However the openings are only that size. Once dropped in a tender can be pushed to the outside edges to clear the area to put more stuff in.

OK, those seem like more sensible dimensions, but it's still a small access. When I bought my current tender, 4 years ago, I took photos of it as I unfolded it, so that I could theoretically re-pack it in the same size. Seems to work. If you can't remember how it was packed from the factory, maybe you need to experiment with different folding styles. Are you packing it with the neoprene cover on?

I believe I am packing it as it arrived

Might have to have another few goes...

That's exactly what we do now with our 3m Zodiac, I had a decent bag made of non-tear material with lots of straps and using an automatic Bravo air pump we can have inflated and in the water in less than 10 minutes.
