Remote Searchlight are they worth it?

It is amazing what one can find on hunting and shooting sites.

I actually have a hand held focusable "hunting" lamp (100w halogen) with fly lead (runs of ships batteries) complete with threaded insert in the handle for mounting (if needed) however although I have the mounting kit I never use it as I find the boats is usually moving too much for a fixed light to be of much use. Likewise the remote type are too slow panning and tilting to maintain a fix on anything except in the calmist of weather / sea state.

I have a fixed one and a hand held.

I use them for annoying the neighbours..

lidl had one last week,12.99 euro bought one for the house have since bought 3 more one for the boat and two as gifts,tried both the jabsco fitted one on the boat last night and the hand held no comparrison lidl wins yet again!!
