Remote outboard conversion

Hi there,
This might seem like a very daft question, but anyway;
If you convert a tiller outboard to remote steering, do you also have to convert the gears and throttle?
(Engine is a pull cord start, if that’s relevant).

Depends on the engine. If it can the manufacturer will have a kit for comversion.

You can fit remote steering and remote gear/gas individually.

Sounds a bit inconvenient to me, but..

On a motor boat? Not being able to control throttle or gears from helm would be very inconvenient and unsafe.
