Just got round to giving the engine its mid season oil change. I'm getting a bit miffed with the location of the oil filter and the amount that gets spilt spinning off the old filter.
Done the usual searches on the net and contacted people I know in "the Know" and still drawn a blank. I'm looking for a remote filter kit for the old volvo. I can find kits designed for the car derivative of the engine, but they all use a sandwich plate arrrangement. I can't use this on the boat engine as theres already a sandwich plated oil cooler. So where can I get a remote filter conversion for a Vilevo petrol engine.
Also I've noticed a bit of corrosion in the cylinderhead which is cast in ali sitting atop a cast iron block. Looking round the engine and scanning the engine manuals I see no mention of a pencil anode anywhere. Does the 145 vilevo have'em or not. This year is the first year I've noticed corrosion in the cylinder head so I'm just wondering if I'm missing and anode or two.
