Remote control conversion for Tohatsu 6hp 4 stroke sailpro

Just wondering whether anyone has done this job using the tohatsu conversion kit? And whether you could share wisdom and any copy of the instructions? Many thanks in expectation

Need a plan B - the remote kit and box are horrendously expensive! And I guess a downside is that then you loose all the flexibility of being able to quickly remove the outboard and easily run it in a tank for flushing etc. The issue I am trying to solve is the outboard is slung off the back of the yacht and down low. So single handedly getting on to a tight trot mooring is v difficult as you need hand for tiller, hand for outboard throttle control, and hand for gear shift - as well as free hands to grab ropes and buoy etc. So simplistically a remote would help. Has anyone fabricated a good extension for the gear shift that works well and makes things easier? Any pics would be great. Thanks
