Remote Control attachments to Mercury 7.5 hp

I have recently joined the forum, though I have visited it before, and benefited from the advice posted hgere. I have a 1979 Mercury 7.5 hp on an outboard bracket on my Jaguar 25. The boat has a combined throttle and gearshift lever from a previous owner and a previous outboard, and I would like to use it and the cables that are in place. The throttle cable pulls, where the carburettor needs the lever to bee pushed. Some cam arrangement is therefore necessary.
I have found 2 remote installation packs that might be the ones I need. The numbers are 43989A1 or 42805A6. Can anyone guide me? A picture of an installation that you have done would help me greatly

Just change the cable connection in the remote control to make it push instead of pulling.

I had thought of adding a bell crank near the control box and changing the pull for push that way, but I hadn't thought of changing the direction in the box
