Hello there, I hope you are well and thanks for taking the time to glance at this. I shall make it quick.

I have a 1988 Yamaha FT9.9ae on my boat, currently unconnected. My quest for a suitable remote throttle is drawing a blank as I am not near the boat at present and as such cannot check if there is a specific design for this type of engine - i.e. number of pins from throttle/starter to engine etc. New to boating but I suspect Yamaha's of this age all used a specific type of cabling and throttle controller...is there anything I should be looking for specifically?

Thanks for any advice and apologies if any of the above is vague.

Might I ask the wider group - would anyone know if Yamaha engines of this era all use the 10-pin electric cabling? It seems the most common but I am unable to be sure.

Thanks as ever.
