Gawd bless 'er.... SWMBO has just turned up from work, with a box of 6 bottles of good wine... and has set straight too packing a bag for the weekend...... what a gal!.... I'm offski in half an hour down to me boat for a relaxing evening in the sun with a glass or two of chilled wine, followed by 2 days of heatwave, beaches, BBQ and sailing...... perfect!

Who thinks that boat ownership is just plain unbeatable eh?.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

We are off this evening, I know it will be motor all the way, off to Newtown, going to drop the hook outside the Creek.

Sit in the cockpit having breakfast watching all the RTIRers drift past. Looking out for Dame Ellen. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

No sailing pour moi.

A mate of mine has organized an outdoor barn dance for tomorrow night and he's been panicking about not selling enough tickets for weeks, so we are duty bound to go.

So excuse me whilst I thump the desk in frustrated rage, and think about me whilst you're having fun, you lucky bastids!

I know how you feel, we spent the last two weekends burning fuel, driving all over the country visiting relatives, had to be done. Now I remember why it is such a relief to step on the boat and sail off and oh, I do feel so so sorry for you peeps who have to drive for 2 - 3 hours before you get to your boat, those bloody motorways don't get any less busy do they?

Yeh I guess your right.

Oh well have a good barn dance. I'm off to the boat now via Waitrose. I'll load everything on, get the boat ready, get totaly knackered. When all the work is finished SWMBO wil turn up! Timing!

SWMBO who only works P/T has organised a working weekend in the garden. i can't get down to boat until next week. All my club mates are organising a BBQ in Anstey's Cove. God does't it make you sick?

Have a great weekend.

Regards.

Peter.

Sailed back today, 7-8 kts of wind 3 ish knots at 40 - 45° not bad for a heavenly twinge.

Flat water, a bit chilly, nothing drastic. Saw a fin in the distance, then 2 then 3 and than what turned out to be a large pod of dolphins which obviously saw us and came over for a look. Lots of babies and some quite big ones too. Swimming between the hulls as they do with us regularly.

They stayed with us for about 20 minutes before swimming off in the direction they came from. Dolphins really seem to like catamarans, maybe the wash between the hulls tickles them or something. This was also the first time I have seen quite a few dolphins jump clean out of the water.

On Saturday we had a seal following us for a short while too.

Yes boat ownership is fab! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
