Just when we thought it was all over...

There's another strengthening Tropical Revolving Storm - 'Sebastian' - predicted to head this way over the next few days. No, it's not all that likely to bring 'storm force' winds to us, but it'll certainly bring lots more rainfall/flooding/hazardous travelling/disruption.

Worth keeping an eye on.... and checking your mooring lines and tie-downs.

So far this November we have had more than 3 times the average November rainfall. Since 28 Oct we have had only 2 days without rain, most of it quite heavy, torrential at times. Very unusual around these parts.

When I first arrived in these parts at the start of October 1974 we were told that Oct and early November usually had quite good weather, swimming possible, etc, etc. The sun was splitting the rocks the day we arrived, but with a heavy thunderstorm that evening.

Next day the rain started, and didn't let up until the day we left, 8 weeks later. This years weather reminds me of that 8-week visit.
