As per title, which websites would you suggest to look at, particularly for a mid term forecast (one week or so)?

Simon Keeling is definitely the best forecaster I've known, even including the one-on-one forecasts we used to get from the Met Office when I was in the RAF. He usually posts anything interesting that's likely to happen on Scuttlebutt.

This is his latest two week forecast http://www.weatherweb.net/wxwebtv.htm. The main site is here http://www.weatherweb.net/wxwebtv.htm. You can take a 14 day trial or sign up for a month at a time. You can also speak to him and get a tailored forecast for a few Euro's..

Thanks for your suggestions.
I had a look at those websites, and some others which I was pointed to in the meantime.
If anyone is intested:
passageweather.com
windfinder.com/forecasts/wind_british_isles117.htm
metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/surface_pressure.html

Blimey folks, I never had the opportunity/need to check the sea conditions around the UK before, and all I can say is that I understand why many British boaters choose to keep their boats in the Med...

One point I hadnt thought about much before was to be sure you dont just use alternative Grib sites.. or you probably arent getting anything alternative at all.. just a different layout !
Someone once told me that the accuracy deteriorates about 10pct per day, so after 5 days its as likely to be wrong as right ;)

Geez, that's the most depressing forecast I've seen so far!
Up to 40 m/s wind for the next weekend.
I had to do the math to believe it's almost 80kts...
