If you remember, when my son needed a taxi, the firm hadn't a clue where yard was, despite giving them postcode. We got one outside the bus station in the end. BUT that was before midnight.

If you walk down to the station, one of the taxi drivers will give you a card with contact no. Never sure whether advance booking or calling at the time is best.

That is because the post code is not like a UK post code it only at best gives a delivery area. Equally the address system only seems to work for postmen, just. If you want some one to find you in Portugal you need to give them the lat and long so they can put it in their sat nav

Probably best, gonna print out google maps with pin and lat & long.
And pray to some god or other.

Well, this one worked perfect should anyone need to book one. Lady in the office didn't know nave pegos but found it straight away. Cab turned up a few minutes early just after an automated call which presumably said yer cabs nearly there

Übler, err, Uber works pretty well in the Algarve. We usually get a car within 5 minutes and they come to the GPS location your phone transmits, or within 50m of it.

It won't help that Bruce's has a new address and on Google Earth, post code puts it in the station. Road name not recognised.
