I have 2 Butagaz composite gas cylinders on my boat and I'm trying to source a spare regulator for them. I can't find any in Turkey. Amazon UK has butagaz regulators for sale but I'm not sure if they're all the same. Mine says "Type 63784" and is stamped 28mbar. I don't want to go to the trouble and expense of buying from the UK without being sure I'm getting the right one. Any advice appreciated

They are known as "clip" or quick-on regulators, google "detendeur clip quick-on butagaz viseo cube" and you'll have the right models.
There is also one which is "direct", it does not regulate pressure -used for burning garden leaves, soldering etc- it has just a tiny rubber membrane inside, if you poke it off with a needle then you have a two way fitting which allows you (or gaz plants) to fill the tank from whatever source you have on hand.

Thank you. That's very useful information. I want to make up a connector to fill the tanks from locally available cylinders.

You will have no problems; this is the one, called "Master Direct", the outlet has the inverted thread common to 12_13kg tanks. Inside the outlet is a tiny rubber membrane (which would prevent gas to get into the tank), simply take it off with a needle and there you go.

It might be difficult to source a hose with two inverted threads at its extremities, I took two identical separate hoses, both one end with inverted thread and one end with regular thread, and inserted a connector in the middle.

Thanks again.
