What sort of information? Prices? availability?

I meant, how does one obtain such drugs if you are cruising for 6 or 9 months at a time. I guess you can't just walk in to the nearest Spanish surgery, present your EHC card, and say give us a prescription please doc! Or can you?

[/ QUOTE ]I can't comment on trying to get 'freebies' - we just pay as we go though we did go to hospital with my wife's broken ankle as that was an emergency which is different, I think. If you go to a private GP or even a pharmacy with the bottles, boxes, patient data sheet or UK prescription so they can identify what you need you will probably be sold it over the counter without a prescription. It is discretionary - more so than in the UK. We walk in with a handwritten list of what we want and we always get it. If we want medical advice we go to the private GP who gives us a re-usable private prescription.

Sometimes they don't use the same meds over here and on a couple of items we needed to get a doctor to sort out what was best. We also need occasional blood tests and again, no problem, ask the doctor and tell them why you are consulting them. Our doctor here assumes that we are UK residents and that we don't want him to look after our greater wellbeing but just short term help - but he would if we asked him to and plenty of people here do just that.
