I'm confused as to which Ships Register we should use for a 17.5M Trader. I think we can use the SSR, is that right? Are there any benefits to using either SSR or SR

If nothing else, it makes dealing with foreign harbour masters and customs officials who want to see "the ships papers" a lot easier.
It also helps when you come to sell her, as the buyer has some reasonable belief that you actually own it and not just selling somethign you borrowed from up the coast and chnaged the name on. (and yes, I know a part 3 registration is only like a car log book a record of the registered keeper, not proof of ownership)
