Registering in the Netherlands

Spain has said it won't recognise the ICP, I believe Portugal is the same, but I'm no expert...steady as you go, the noose it tightening.

I've looked into it a bit more closely now and this is not re-registering at all.

It does not transfer a boat onto the official Dutch Registry, so of limited value after Brexit , I should think.

Am I right?

Yes, I believe so, it's just a Dutch certificate of ownership. But they also offer real flag registration in Poland.

France no longer accepts ICP either (though I heard from a Dutch skipper this Summer, they do when skipper/owner is Dutch).

This seems to be an 'ICP registration' - see item 3
Seems a lot of money for not much - especially when you take into account the €249 p/a

This is about ICP indeed.
Boats in The Netherlands require no registration, which is sometimes problematic when sailing in foreign waters.

This system is being abused for illegal activities on a rather large scale, which is why it is being reviewed by the Dutch government and also reason why (I think) Italy and Spain do not recognize it.
