So the refit is almost complete and we are trying to get TEMPTRESS back into commission. The boat was launched a couple of weeks ago, sails have arrived back form the sailmaker, nearly all the jobs have been done so we start commissioning things, re-filling the water tanks, connecting gas, getting the heating going and it all starts to go wrong!
I am now I possession of scrapped arms, cut knuckles, lump on my head and dizzy from hanging upside down in confined spaces for hours but water system is working, the heads are back in action although and we can get to the bed in the mian cabin, we are still a long way from being able to go to sea. At least the heating is working.
Why do simple jobs on boats take so long to do?
Still - In a few weeks it is off to Brazil and Patagonia for us via Scotland. Finally all coming together.
