Red wine stains

Hi Everyone
Has anyone here had to deal with red wine stains on their white marine vinyl ? any good products out their or tips / experience in trying to remove them?

White wine is the usual recommendation for red wine stains.

Have had decent results removing red wine stains using ordinary washing up liquid in lukewarm water.

Maybe I watch too much "Below Decks" but they seem to show that K2R Marine is used on the superyachts in the Caribbean to great effect. It's quite amazing how they clean up after the wild parties on board.

Good red wine and decent malt whisky is seldom spilt - there is a lesson in their somewhere - or your wallets is very full.

Stain Devils - Fruit and Drink 50ml - Dr. Beckmann

Stain Devils are formulated for different types of stain and usually do the job well. It says don't use on upholstery but that's probably domestic stuff. You could try an inconspicuous corner of your vinyl first.

My mother in law used to do water colour paintings which she spread across the dining table.
One night I accidentally knocked over a glass of red wine and it went everywhere,
splashed at least 10 paintings.
I dabbed them dry with kitchen roll, then put Vanish on the paintings, then a bit of water, then dried each with a hair dryer,
and carried on repeating the exercise,
Started at 10pm, it was 3 am before I was satisfied that I had got rid of the stains.
The next day my mother in law never noticed

Of course your first mistake was getting white vinyl. Next time go for a vinyl that's, er, Burgundy colour.

In the meantime try wearing sunglasses!

If you can still see the wine stains with the sunglasses on, keep drinking more wine until you don't care.
