Are you sure that is the RAF Red Arrows display team? They have been flying BAE Hawk Jets since 1979.

but for a min I didn't think it was them
The Red Arrow are in Malta for the air show

Show set to start on the 25 and 26 around Qawra so depending on the weather we be looking at anchoring in St Paul bay

Sorry Vic, I don’t think they’re Savoia Marchettis either! My bet is Pilatus PC 7. The Swiss fly those as a team, maybe they’re in Malta too?

We had fabulous views of the Red Arrows when they were practicing over Greece a few years ago. Apparently its often too cloudy in Britain in the winter, so they come south.

Yes that is what the Red Arrows look like and usually nine in the formation with a spare on the ground however when transiting you are not seeing things if you count ten.

Often with the tenth out of position taking video and photos, we are lucky as live 2 miles from RAF Waddington where they have just moved from Scampton, have air displays 3 times a day and impromptu over Lincoln when they come back at weekends, Saturday had the BBF Spitfire for 10 minutes over city on its way home

We see them often at BW. Last year, we were treated to the BBMF Lancaster!

Only had Lancaster once this year as it’s only just come back from refit works a few weeks ago, it also does fly passes on its way home
