What a wonderfull day cruised down to the Rock where there was a huge floatilla of boats all types and sizes holding station of Europa, Point the lighthouse at the end of the rock, for the Arrows to take off. What a fab display right over our heads.

Then anchored in the lea of the rock for hot pizza spanish omelette and wine lovely.
Will try to get some piccies on here.

Seems there were only 10 in the Display Team as one is sat in a Hanger here!

"A Red Arrow aircraft on its way to Gibraltar on Friday to take part in the air display met with a problem - a seagull.

The birdstrike seriously damaged the plane, it led to "a hole in the fuselage," said the military.

The damage was such that the plane had to leave the Red Arrows team - and has since been in a hangar at the RAF. A board of enquiry is expected.

The incident took place on the Red Arrows' final approach to Gibraltar.

The team is made up of a total of eleven aircraft - nine take part in the show and two are held in reserve to cover for any eventuality.

When the Red Arrows left for the UK after the Gibraltar show, to take part in four air displays there on Sunday, they were one short."
