Recycle old sails ?

Whats to be done with old clapped out sails ? I can't bear to cut them up as we have had such adventures together - how about sending old sails to third world fishermen who would make good use of them from what I've seen on my travels. Anyone know of a charity group that might be interested in distributing them?

Saw an ad this weekend (PBO?) suggesting that you can have foul weather gear made out of them.........

No ..but find someone departing for a long cruise. I know that many fisherman in third world countries would love your sails. Also any clothing. They often make great gifts and you would be surprised at the response in many cccountries.
