ive just been offered the rectifier on ebay as a second chance offer for around 20 pounds.
i havent been able to source any from local outlets so i presume 20 pounds is a good price.

if i decide to buy it, will it be a simple thing to fit it or will i need to be able to do lots of complicated diagnosis with a multimeter. basically is it plug and play or is it best left to an auto electrician. if i work out how to post pics will anyone be up to pointing me in the right direction

kind regards nick

Not sure how compicated it will be to fit but price sounds good. The kit for a Suzuki DF 4hp is over a hundred pounds.

I fitted one to a 5 hp Yamaha years ago but had advice from someone in the know as to which wire went where.

Hi,
Your yamaha rectifier will have 4 wires. 2 green which connect to stator under flywheel, also with 2 green wires. Output from rectifier is red, +ve and black, -ve , just connect these 2 battery via inline fuse , say 10A.
Regards,
Matt.
