It all depends upon where you're starting from, although that might not be so critical with a mobo.

Hello. I am knew to this site. Some very useful info on this thread thanks. I will be sailing out of Pula for 2 weeks mid August with my Wife and our two boys 8 and 10yrs. I know it will be busy compared to previous years when we went in May. Could anyone suggest an itinerary? We would prefer free anchorages and avoid the marinas other than maybe once or twice a week. Is there much west of Pula?

PM me if you want current info .... I have been based in Pula for 9 years (I'm here now for 4 weeks) and generally avoid any overnight stops I have to pay for. I sail with kids too, grown up now, but there are a few places where there is plenty of fun to be had.

Unless he's going for a repeat performance this year, I fear that his Pula holiday is a distant memory now.
