Recommendations for UV strip replacement / sail repair and cleaning near Portsmouth ?

Genoa came off today and whilst off thought I would look into U strip replacement, as it looks on its way out, also could do with a check over and clean. Any recommendations Portsmouth/Solent area ?. Many thanks.

I got several quotes to get mine done. Banks sails at Sarisbury turned out cheapest. IIRC it was approx. £160 but I got a discount of 25% because I removed the old strip myself. Job was done using 'Odyssey'(?). Very neat finishing, leach line cleat removed and re-riveted etc. Well recommended.

I use Lucas Sails, always been happy with the work they've done. 5 mins from Port Solent.

Arun sails, based in Bosham have an outlet in Gosport. Arthur's chandlery will also be able to organise it for you. I've used both recently. There used to be a sailmaker in the loft above Trafalgar Yacht Services at Fareham Quay.

Had my jib done by Arun recently... 6.5m luff.... around £80.... took about 3 days - it's the second I've had done by them as I'm more than happy with the quality.

Having been let down by another company I have always found Arun Sails to be very good and reasonable.
Over the past years they have cleaned, repaired, replaced UV strip and, finally (last year) replaced both sails on my boat.
I am very happy with my new sails (shame I am selling the boat really).
I would give them 10/10 for price, quality and customer service.
Ivan Bole, the head honcho, is pleasant to deal with.
Give him a call and check them out is all I can say.
BTW I have no connection to the company other than being a satisfied customer!
