The time has come to get a new set of cruising sails for our 40ft boat. We had a quote from North fro about 10k for jib and main. I wanted to get some quotes from other lofts, so was looking for recommendations.

we will be wintering near Valencia, so am happy to use a loft in the area, or a loft that can easily deliver to our marina.

Cheers.

Crusader made our sails and delivered them to Corfu for us. Most UK lofts will do the same. £10k sounds a lot for a 40 foot boat: ours cost around £3k in 2011, taking advantage of a winter season discount.
We looked at getting a new spray hood made in San Carles de la Rapita: the quote was about double what we were expecting based on UK pricing.

Antonio at Estepona, based in the sail loft next to the marina. Collects within reasonable distance.

+1 We bought ours from Crusader and they had no problem shipping to Spain. I think they were going to charge 80 (GBP or EUR) delivery but not certain. They had a slight last minute delay which didn't cause any problems but never billed us for delivery cost. We also took advantage of a winter discount and bought pretty good sails (Vektran main, bi-radial genoa). Price was around £4,600 in 2016 for a 13m boat and we could have had ones from a cheaper range if we'd wished.
