Not exactly a recommendation (as per your question) but previously when I asked similar, all the replies on here tended to be 'just ask around your local marina'..

At the time, the search on the official Gas Safe Register wasn't working but after a lot of chasing they fixed it.

So... If you don't get a recommendation then try the official website search (although still a bit convoluted) and it seems to list four in Brighton.

Gas Safe Register - The Official List of Gas Safe Registered Businesses - Gas Safe Register has replaced CORGI registration. Don't cut corners, only use a Gas Safe registered engineer.

Type in location then select Domestic and Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG)

Then in Appliance Type, choose Pipework Boats LPG (CORE) and click 'Filter Results'

Then with 1 appliance selected hit the 'Update Results' button (otherwise the filtering is ignored).

You'll find about four in Brighton and by clicking on the services of each you can confirm they do list 'Boats' within their remit..

That Gas Safe Register site also has the Check [engineer] button that didn't look like a clickable button..

Wow...!! The search even shows a photo of Rupert Smith and includes cookers as well as LPG pipework in their qualifications.

I guess that stops imposters turning up :/

Apologies for so many screenshots but for most of last year the search just wasn't working.
