The paint on the deck of my sailboat is pealing off and needs to be repainted. I have had a go at doing this in the past with mixed results. Can anyone recommend a company that can prepare and paint the deck of a 26ft yacht based in Bradwell?

SML two pack primer is good. It's
about £40 a tin but once on it holds onto most paint and does not let them peel, flake. A top coat like International should last many years.

Failed paint and varnish jobs are invariable due to poor preparation assuming it's not been done in the rain. Preparation is the key skimp on that and the result will be poor.

i used to use intrnatioal interdeck, never found it to peel. one coat woud last 5 yrs, a 750 ml tin would do me one coat, brushed not"stippled"

we had to bite the bullet and paint our coachroof/cockpit etc due to lots of old scratches, worn gel coat and general uv damage.
preparation is key witha good surface needed for the paint to adheer to. We used epifanes 2 pack which was great and is wearing well. we sort of rolled and tipped and did the best job we could, not perfect but does look good. we used antislip paint on panels.

it may be prohibitively expensive to get an as new job on an older boat done by a professional but can recommend trying yourself if you have the time etc. we removed all fittings, some dont though.
I would loved to have paid someone to do this but could not afford to do so.

There are loads of videos of people doing this who take you through the process on the interweb for inspiration

i do know of a guy in ipswich who painted a club boat as a job but do not know if he goes as far as you are.
