I want an aft cabin, inboard diesel, lift keel (may consider bilge) over 24 feet, but under 30. About the 1984/5 or newer mark, under £23K, can anyone recommend anything?

Have considered
Gibsea 76 (not as good as the feeling I'm told)
Feeling 720 (like the look of the later layout, just can't find one)
Jouet 760 (can't find any information on this boat at all)
Hunter 26/27 (Didn't like the standard of finish, e.g. around the windows etc)

Any ideas?

I had a gibsea77 - slightly older layout of the 76 - they are good boats and sail well especially off the wind although are reasonably close hauled.

Hi David, thank you for your reply, but does the Southerly have an aft cabin that can be shut off? I have 2 year old twins I'm desperate to lock away at night, I'm sick of sitting in the cockpit under a boom tent until it's time for my bed time.

regards

Christine

Hi tony, thanks for your reply. I did see a Gibsea 76 I was very interested in, but I've been told the Feeling sails better and the Gibsea is actually a fairly slow boat. What is your opinion on this?

Regards

Christine

Seal 28 (not the "super seal "which is very different) has aft cabin ,lifting keel usually diesel engine.

The performance wont set the world on fire but they are strong seaworthy family boats.Cheaper (arguably better) than those that have been mentioned.
