Recomendations for a 12v De Humidifier please

Owing to this months very heavy rain I am thinking of using a 12v De Humidifier to really dry out a Boat

Has anybody any recommendations from personal experiences , please ?

All the Sails , bunk covers , ropes and lines were , fortunately , taken ashore and stored for the Off Season much earlier , so they are well OK

Dehumidifiers used a fair amount of energy and need to run for quite a while, you will need quite a bank of 12V batteries. If no 240V available, ventilation may be a better option.

Yes quite agree , but looking forward to a Day without rain at the mo ; well been looking for about a Month now I guess

Apologies for not directly answering your question, but you might consider using disposable dehumidifiers, see link below. Until last year I'd always had a 240v dehumidifier running over the winter, but last year that was not possible so I resorted to disposable ones and they worked very well.

Well designed through ventilation and a 60W tube heater have served me well through many rainy winters (25 foot boat). If you have a condensation problem, a dehumidifier is dealing with the symptom of the problem not the cause.

Well must own up , {)# , I recon ; its for my Tourer Car , which has a Folding Hood with internal tubes /gullys for discharging Rain Water , I had it often parked under our OAK tree , which deposited various leaves and other droppings ono it ; well the gullys got blocked up , each morning I had rain water in Passenger Footwell ; used towling to soack up and remove , but carpets etc are still wet ; yes thanks for reminding me about those portable De Humidifiers , used them many years ago on my Trident 24 which had timber decking and coachroof

So off to but them , very soon

Thank you for the replys and comments ; guess when I replace the Car Battery (present one is duff) I can move the car to a safer /better place , in the Sun , and attend them gullys etc ; and YES we do have SUN this morning , that will brighten up my day , plus help dry out the car (hopefully ?)
