Re: I\'m a cheat!

Really, Brendan? Mine too, albeit in my yoof. Lived in Saundersfoot and went to school in Tenby, father was a manager at Pembroke Power Station.

We sailed dinghies at Tenby SC, and had a Leisure 17 followed by a Prelude in Saundersfoot.

Re: I\'m a cheat!

Lots of my family come from a small village between Fishguard and Cardigan, called Newport. If you happen to be in the area, we are well known, just mention the Spillane surname! Village doctor, old fashioned explorer etc, etc all came from there, and married into Spillane family. Did lots of boating there as a kid.

Your father might have known the father of an ex of mine, also a powerstation manager. His surname was Currie, mananged several powerstations 'oop north' latterly in Newcastle, but they all seemed to know one another

Don't know the one at Clovelly but the one in Minehead is the Old Ship Aground, I believe, so perhaps you _should_ be buying the beers ! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
