Reasonable????

There is a big difference between a trailer suitable for yard use and a road-going trailer. A big difference.
Plus a Jaguar 25 on a road trailer will be a fair old weight to move. The boat weighs 1950kg plus the trailer and extra gear fitted. Do you have a vehicle suitable?
Why Low Wood out of interest? Surely cheaper to have a swinging mooring and keep her ashore at Ferry Nab in the winter. Plus they have a mast crane for mooring holder's use.

The trailer needs to be capable of carrying the 2 tonne load and there are several available. I do not have a suitable vehicle but one can be hired for about £60 per day.

Low Wood was checked out on the basis of not having a trailer but using someone to do the transfer with them using a hired in crane to lift off but £300 per lift seems completely unreasonable to me together with berthing charges of £3800 per year. The intention is to have a swinging mooring and again you have to apply to Ferry Nab Lake Warden. .

Hard standings at Ferry Nab need go initially to previous occupiers and the others need to go on a waiting list, a bit uncertain. However, Lakeside do have vacancies for hard standing storage and they charge £9.75 per foot for the Winter season. Very reasonable. I have tried phoning Fell Foot opposite but after many tries they just don't answer the phone. I was previously there with a trailer sailer and it was always difficult to get in touch.

You'll struggle with a 25ft at Fellfoot, firly steep slip and they don't have a mast crane.
Launch at Ferry Nab from your trailer and put the mast up there. Then move round to the marinia/pontoon/jetty/mooring of your choice. Drive the boat round to Lakeside after slipping in autumn.

Thanks for that Lakesailor,
It is a bit awkward at Fell Foot (used to have a 17ft trailer sailer there) but there are boats bigger than 25ft there although they never seem to move!

My assumption was that I could launch from Lakeside, which I only chose as they can offer a hard standing, Ferry Nab needs an application to get on the waiting list and my problem is that I am time limited. Need to be out of Liverpool in two weeks or it's £320 per week for the berth.

So it looks like Lakeside is my only hard standing option but with a launch from Ferry Nab being more feasible as you suggest. This assumes that I can find a decent trailer.

Is there no-where you can move to a bit cheaper pro-temp? At that price the cost of a lift-out seems very reasonable. Like Ellie was, in Preston, you have what you have. I'm sure if you made your way up to Fleetwood you could do it all for 3/6d.
I haven't been around the south end of the lake for some time. I don't know who operates the storage down there. I remember when the 54ft Hanse was fettled they had to get a big mobile crane in to lift it in and out. There is a slip but that is used for the ferries for their winter fit-out.

I'll send you a PM about another spot.
