Ahead of the launch of a much updated River Thames Guide app early in 2026, I have made available some Shortcuts for general Boating and for the Thames (tidal and non-tidal).
General Boating Shortcuts include Sound Signals, Signal Flags and a Glossary of Nautical Terms; Thames Shortcuts provide current conditions for the non-tidal (your three favourite stretches or all stretches) and the current Fluvial Flag for the tidal.
Like all shortcuts these can be used in a variety of ways:

• Via the shortcuts app
• From an icon dragged on to your Today Screen, Home Screen or Control Panel
• Automated to run at a given time or at a selected place (eg check conditions on arrival at your Marina)
• From an NFC tag (I have one on the helm and just a touch with my iPhone opens Sound Signals)
